Heavenly Mother
Humanity’s ability to perceive and explore is quite limited. Even in modern times, a vast majority of the universe, around 96%, and the underwater world, about 95%, remain uncharted and unseen. Consider how much more lies beyond our vision in the spiritual realm that we can’t see. Therefore, God established systems on Earth to teach us His will about the systems in the spiritual world.
“your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
Though the spiritual family in Heaven is unseen, God made families on earth with fathers, mothers, and children. Through this model, God allows us to understand the components of the complete spiritual family and how to confirm that we are God’s children.
“Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live!”
This verse depicts two fathers: one on earth, and the other in heaven (Mt 6:9). In addition, the Bible testifies that we are God’s children.
“‘And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters,’ says the Lord Almighty.”
It’s an honor to be the child of a great king on earth. Naturally, all people want to be called children of Almighty God. However, children are not born of their fathers alone. God made mothers on earth as life-givers which means mother must exist in Heaven as well. As it is written:
“But the Jerusalem that is above is free and she is our mother.”
