Second Coming Christ and the New Name

The Value of a Name

There are many occasions when knowing an influential person can be extremely valuable. Often, by simply declaring the name, it can open and close doors of opportunity. How much more valuable is knowing the name of the Savior who grants eternal life and blessing in the last days?

“And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

It is a wonderous truth that simply calling on the name of the Savior grants eternal life. This means that the door of salvation is open to those who not only know it, but also call upon it. And calling on it is only possible for those who believe (Jn 1:12).

Naturally, no one would dial a phone number without knowing the name of the person they wish to speak to. Likewise, as individuals deepen their faith and seek a closer relationship with the Savior, they reach out to God through prayer. The crucial starting point in this journey is knowing precisely whom to address.

“‘Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.’”

John 16:24

In the last days, those who acknowledge God’s name through prayer and seek salvation will be the ones to receive it. As such, we should carefully examine the testimony about God’s name so we can be sure of our salvation.

“‘I am coming soon. ... The one who is victorious ... I will also write on them my new name.’”

Jesus spoke these words regarding His second coming and clearly stated He would appear with a new name.

“‘Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. ... I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.’”

Second Coming Christ is the stone (Acts 4:11) that appears with a new name that only the chosen people will receive. They are prophesied to stand with Him in Mount Zion, the city of God’s festivals (Isa 33:20).

“Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.”

Ahnsahnghong is the new name of Jesus who came a second time according to prophecy (Heb 9:28). He established Zion and restored the Feasts of God which were abolished during the Dark Ages. Those who know and call on his name will be blessed with salvation.
