The Parable of the Tree of Life
Christ hid many teachings about the spiritual world in parables (Mt 13:34). One very important lesson for us is contained in the history of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Many people are familiar with Adam, Eve, and the events that took place; however, not many are familiar with the lesser-known truth about the tree of life that has the power to give us eternal life.
“‘He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.’ So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden ... After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.”
Eating from the tree of life in the Garden of Eden gave the promise of eternal life, but after disobeying God’s command, Adam and Eve were no longer allowed to eat from it and were doomed to mortality. This story is representative of all mankind (Ro 5:12).
As the way to the tree of life was blocked, God planned to come in human form to unblock the way and allow His people to eat from it again. When Jesus Christ came, there was only one way He promised eternal life.
“Jesus said … ‘Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life ...’”
John 6:54
Eating the flesh and blood of Christ contains the promise of eternal life, just like eating from the tree of life in the Garden of Eden. It was only through the New Covenant Passover that Christ gave the promise of eternal life of His body and blood through bread and wine (Lk 22:7; 19–20). In this way, Passover is the way to the tree of life, and Christ is Almighty God (Jn 10:10) who unblocked the way to it.
The precious truth of Passover was abolished in A.D. 325, and the tree of life was once again blocked. To give mankind hope for eternal life, Christ must appear again, restore the Passover (Heb 9:28), and unblock the way to the tree of life.
Christ Ahnsahnghong is the only One who appeared and restored the New Covenant Passover. He is the Second Coming Christ & Almighty God who has unblocked the way to the tree of life.
