Christ Must Comes as the Prophetical King David
The Old Testament Scriptures contain law and prophecies that lead us directly to the Savior who comes in the flesh. For this reason, Jesus Christ said that the Scriptures testify to Him (Jn 5:39). Among the prophecies God used to teach about Christ, let’s explore the reign of King David. By studying his reign, we can realize the spiritual reign of Jesus when He comes to earth.
“Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.”
Hosea 3:5
King David had passed away by the time Hosea wrote these words. Nonetheless the prophecy states that God’s people must seek David for blessings in the last days. Thinking of the last days and the blessing God’s people would desire, we can realize Hosea was talking of salvation. Therefore, in the last days, God’s people must find the prophetical David who gives the blessing of salvation. Who then is the spiritual King David?
According to Isaiah 9:6–7, Jehovah God was prophesied to be born as a child and reign on David’s throne. Jesus Christ fulfilled this prophecy (Lk 1:31). To understand how Jesus fulfilled the throne of David, we must investigate the work and reign of David.
As the New Covenant Passover was abolished in A.D. 325, the spiritual King David must appear in the last days with the blessing of salvation and complete the outstanding years of reign.
Christ Ahnsahnghong was born in 1918 and baptized in 1948 at 30. He restored the New Covenant Passover and passed away in 1985, fulfilling the remaining 37 years of David’s throne. He is the prophesied spiritual King David that God’s people must meet. Come to the World Mission Society Church of God and learn more!
