God Dwells in Zion
The Bible can be compared to a map—a spiritual map that exists to guide us to God. The Bible specifically points us to the place where God will dwell and where His law will be taught. This is important in recognizing and receiving Him.
“In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest of all—the most important place on earth. ... ‘There he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.’ For the Lord’s teaching will go out from Zion; his word will go out from Jerusalem.”
Micah 4:1–2 (NLT)
In the last days, God’s house is called Zion, where He will personally teach His ways. Recognizing it as the most important place on earth helps us grasp the value of those who attend. Though a building may have the name Zion written on it, or a location is simply called by the name Zion, it does not mean that it is the most important place on earth. What makes Zion stand out from other buildings?
“Instead, you will see Zion as a place of holy festivals.”
Isaiah 33:20 (NLT)
Zion is the place of God’s holy festivals and where God himself dwells (Joel 3:17). Throughout the New Testament, Jesus Christ can be seen keeping these blessed Feasts and establishing Zion one by one (Lk 4:16; Acts 2:1; Mt 26:17–19; Jn 7:2;37-39) and after Christ, the disciples continued following his examples.
Today, unfortunately, the feasts of God are unfamiliar to most of us because they were abolished after the Apostolic Age. Starting with the Saturday Sabbath in A.D. 321 and the New Covenant Passover in A.D. 325, Constantine changed the original truths of the Early Church. He began to institute pagan festivals in their place, so the feasts were no longer kept, and Zion fell into ruins.
“The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins ...”
Isaiah 51:3
Who could be saved if humankind is left without Zion, the most important place on earth, and the feasts that promise eternal life? God promised to come a second time (Heb 9:28), restore the truth, and rebuild Zion.
“For the Lord will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.”
Psalm 102:16
Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Lord who rebuilt Zion by reestablishing all the feasts of God that were lost after the Apostolic Age. Those seeking to learn more are invited to Zion, the World Mission Society Church of God.
