The Meaning of the Holy Trinity
“‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’ ... they replied, ‘Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’”
Matthew 16:13–14
“Christ himself was an Israelite as far as his human nature is concerned. And he is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise!”
Romans 9:5 (NLT)
“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us ... he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father ...”
Isaiah 9:6
“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”
John 14:26 (RSV)
God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the Counselor who fulfilled the Trinity. Though Jesus is God himself in nature, he was called the Son of God because he was born as a child in this world. God who is omnipresent came to Earth as a man to walk with his people, show them the way to live, and shed his precious blood to forgive sins.
The World Mission Society Church of God believes in the Trinity and urges all to come for Bible study and learn more!
